Last existing floodlight mast of the former Schalker Parkstadion may shine again.

An impressive collection campaign by the Schalker Ultras saves the floodlight mast in the Parkstadion. On Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, the mast, which is now shining in its new light, was ceremoniously unveiled. The club invited to the public final training before the Bundesliga home game against 1. FC Köln. Many fans gathered on the day to experience the emotional event.

The mast had not been lit for 20 years - this was to be changed. In order to finance the reconstruction, donations were collected. The donations and the sale of specially made scarves showing the floodlight mast and bearing the inscription "Parkstadion" managed to shoot beyond the originally set target. The investment was budgeted at €150,000 - the fans raised over €220,000.

New light on a historic foundation.

As a monument to the club, the floodlight mast carries special significance. Due to its height, it can be seen even beyond the borders of Gelsenkirchen. For many Gelsenkirchen residents and fans of FC Schalke 04, the mast is the landmark of the city and the club.
We are proud to have made our contribution to this - to revive history. With BRUMBERG illuminants it is now possible for the mast to shine again. Through the use of 66 energy-efficient LEDs, only as much energy is consumed as is emitted by a normal household socket.

Schalke floodlight mast ceremoniously inaugurated.

On Saturday (Jan. 28, 2023), the floodlight mast was inaugurated by fans and the team during the final training session before the Bundesliga home game against 1. FC Köln. Around 3,000 fans gathered to celebrate the moment. Our field representative Mr. Rüdiger Lemm could not miss the event either and accompanied the emotional moment in the club's history. We find the cohesion of the club impressive despite the current difficult times. The action shows that the fans stand by their club in good times as well as in bad. We were very happy to be a part of this great action and wish all participants all the best and all the time good training in the former Parkstadion. Good luck!
