light+building 2020 postponed.

Messe Frankfurt announced on February 24 that this year's light+building will be postponed from March to September. This is the organizer's reaction to the increased spread of the corona virus in Europe.

The light+building 2020 will not take place as planned from 08 to 13 March. This was the main content of Messe Frankfurt's press release published on February 24. Due to the rising infection rate and the increasing spread of Covid-19 in Europe, the risk situation resulting from the virus had to be weighed up again.

Messe Frankfurt: "Hard to participate in the fair."

"The unexpected occurrence of Covid-19 in Italy since last weekend required a new assessment of the situation in close coordination with the health department of the city of Frankfurt. A multi-stage health check of trade fair visitors from China is required, which can only be realized by Messe Frankfurt with disproportionate effort. In addition, there are more travel restrictions, which make it difficult for potential visitors and exhibitors to participate in the fair," Messe Frankfurt announced.

"We support the organizers' decision 100 percent."

As a member of the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (ZVEI) and the Central Association of German Electrical and Information Technology Trades (ZVEH), Brumberg supports this decision. "Our most important concern is the well-being of our employees, partners and customers," says Benedikt Brumberg. "Our plan was to stick to our participation in light+building until the very end. Nevertheless, we support 100 percent the decision of the organizers to postpone the trade fair due to the changed situation," adds Johannes Brumberg.

Clear plan for the coming months.

The two managing directors are confident despite the postponement of the fair. "In the coming days, we will develop a clear plan on how to compensate for the postponement for our most important communication exchange," Johannes Brumberg states.

With regard to the marketing of the new products, the lighting company already has a Plan B up its sleeve for the first half of the year. "We will transport our new products to the market with the conversion of the showroom in Sundern and further decentralized sales activities," Benedikt Brumberg explains the next steps.

Seminars and training.

An important part of these marketing measures are the Brumberg product training courses. As usual, the company offers its partners and customers seminars on its products and services. At the upcoming dates, the agenda will increasingly focus on new products from the trade fair. A special feature of the Brumberg training courses: The Seminars and Events team conducts the training courses both in Sundern and decentrally at the tradesman's, wholesaler's or sales representative's premises.
