Brumberg has been supporting the WaldLokal gGmbH initiative since the beginning of 2022. To be sure: WaldLokal is not an inn under trees, but a community for the local reforestation of the forest with climate-stable, native tree species - first in the Sauerland region and then throughout South Westphalia. Tackling with heart and soul.
In order to really make a difference, WaldLokal brings together people and companies who care about natural reforestation. The goal is to form a large and strong community with all "WaldLokalians". Whether companies, associations, schools and kindergartens, families or individuals - everyone can join. "We are very happy to support the WaldLokal project as a family and as a company," says Johannes Brumberg. His brother Benedikt Brumberg adds, "Our company is located between forested hills and we can see every day what monoculture has done. Something has to be done and we definitely want to be part of it."
Planting instead of talking.
Climate-stable mixed forest is planted on the WaldLokal site - up to 4,000 trees per hectare. The trees are generally always selected and planted by local forestry offices in spring and fall - when the soil offers optimal conditions for successful tree life. What WaldLokalinaner contribute, they can also track: digitally on the specially developed community platform.
