ELMAR brand award celebrates its 15th birthday: application phase starts with eltefa in Stuttgart
15 years of ELMAR - starting signal for the next round: The established brand award of the "Elektromarken. Strong partners." is once again calling on all electrical contractors to present their strong brand this year. The application phase begins at the same time as the eltefa trade fair in Stuttgart: from March 28, 2023, interested companies based in Germany can apply for the ELMAR. Participation is possible online via the website elektromarken.de and by post by completing the printed questionnaire by August 15, 2023.
Outstanding brand awareness, innovative concepts, new strategies: with the ELMAR brand award, the "Elektromarken. Strong partners." Electrical trade companies that stringently implement and live the brand theme - electrical trade companies that have built up their own corporate brand. To honor these companies for their daily commitment, passion and creativity, the strong brands created the first brand award in the electrical industry in 2008. That was 15 years ago - 166 companies have been honored to date and included in the electrical brand family. The ELMAR is established in the industry and a seal of quality, and the network associated with it is valuable and sustainable. And it has grown steadily over the years. In the anniversary year, companions from past years will once again be given a stage.

In 2023, the ELMAR will again be divided into five categories: Categories one to three are graded in ascending order of company size . In category four, young companies that were founded no more than three years ago can apply for the "ELMAR Newcomer" . Attractive employer brands are honored in category five - "ELMAR Employer ". While "Gold", "Silver" and "Bronze" are awarded in categories one to three, only one company is awarded in each of the "ELMAR Newcomer" and "ELMAR Employer" categories.
In addition to the competition, the "Elektromarken. Starke Partner." continues to offer a wide range of brand support measures - and this starts with participation: the "ELMAR e-learning tool", which was developed especially for the competition, is exclusively accessible to ELMAR applicants and can be used immediately after submitting the application. It not only provides tips on creating, developing and managing a brand, but also clearly explains positive and negative examples. In the brand check, applicants can test their own company and measure their progress. In addition to the "ELMAR e-learning tool", the electric brands provide ELMAR applicants with a Germany-wide list of qualified creative agencies with a focus on brand development. If necessary, companies can seek professional support in the region. ELMAR applicants also receive intensive support with brand development as part of a workshop with brand experts and successful "brand makers" from the electrical industry.

- Category 1: Companies with up to 10 employees
- Category 2: Companies with 11 to 30 employees
- Category 3: Companies with more than 30 employees
- Category 4: ELMAR Newcomer | start-ups in the last three years (from 01.01.2020)
- Category 5: ELMAR Employer
In addition to the coveted ELMAR trophy, attractive prize packages await all winners. In addition to communication materials, the companies receive staggered prize money for marketing activities. Individual press releases and photos as well as a professional guide provide support for active press work. Furthermore, all ELMAR award winners will be included in the communication of the "Elektromarken. Strong partners." campaign: For the first-place winners, this means, among other things, being part of the strong brands' advertising campaign as brand ambassadors.
Companies headquartered in Germany can apply for the ELMAR 2023 until August 15, 2023 via the elektromarken.de website and by post by completing the printed questionnaire. Following a multi-stage competition process, an independent jury of experts will decide on the ELMAR 2023 winners in the fall of this year. These will be presented to the public in a festive atmosphere at the "Brand Forum of the Electrical Industry" on December 7, 2023.
