Recessed spotlights from Brumberg ideal for insulated hollow ceilings

Sundern, April 2018. Until now, many technical details had to be taken into account when installing luminaires in insulated hollow ceilings. In particular, the consideration of distances for thermal compensation required the installation of a separate recessed box. With the new INDIWO recessed spotlight, Brumberg, a company based in Sundern, Germany, is taking a completely new approach and offering a ready-to-use combination of luminaire and recessed box. This allows the luminaire to be placed directly against the insulating material.

Quick installation in three steps: Mill the installation opening, install the control gear, insert the luminaire. Installing a recessed spotlight in an insulated hollow ceiling with the new INDIWO luminaires can be this easy. The optimum combination of luminaire and box eliminates the need for separate installation of a box and, at the same time, the need to run cables through it. This reduces material costs and the time required. At the same time, the system guarantees the lowest possible mechanical installation depth while maintaining the full swivel range. The integrated box automatically ensures the necessary clearances to the insulating material, and the spotlight can even be placed directly in or against the vapor barrier.

Tool-free electrical installation

It is even easier if the new power supply units with junction box for fast through-wiring are used during installation. In this case, no complicated wiring of the 230V connection line to the power supply unit is necessary. The power supply unit is connected to 230 V by means of a junction box terminal and connected to the luminaire by "drag&drop". This also saves a lot of time.

Six attractive variants

The new INDIWO series is available in six different variants. These include one swivel, one tilt and one rigid variant, each of which is offered in a square or round shape. Each luminaire can be ordered in chrome, matte nickel and textured white.
