New LED-Flex conductor boards

One difference from the previous boards, is that these are generally available as 24V version. The main advantage is that the voltage drop is at a voltage of 24V considerably lower than at the 12V solutions. Besides there will be more powerful boards available in the range of static color boards.

In the field of white light tones of 3.100 and 6.500 Kelvin is now also a high-performance version with 240 LEDs per meter and a consumption of 19.2 W per meter available. The use of this of course requires a corresponding circuit board thermal management. Here too are now aluminum profiles in lengths of 1.000 and 2.000 mm and include the corresponding brackets in our program. When covers are required we can deliver on demand transparent and opalescent plastic profiles that can be easily attached.

Extremely interesting is the new 2-channel flex board (Art. 15006004) which allows controlling of all color temperatures between 3.100-6.500 Kelvin. For this purpose, in addition to the usual power supply, only a 2-fold PWM interface (Art. 17501000) is required. Again, the aforementioned profiles, brackets and covers are used and provide the necessary heat dissipation.

In comparison to the former RGB boards with dynamic color control we can reach in the top approx. the double of power. Certainly we are still able to deliver the well-known 7,2W per meter version. Also for the RGB boards are accessories as aluminum profiles brackets and covers available.

Generally, all boards are supplied in rolls with a length of 5.000 mm. On request, customers can also order custom lengths, but with the IP00 version only. The assembling of printed circuit boards takes Brumberg, for a small extra charge for you. With this service a frequent source of error (short circuit caused by bad solder joints) will be minimized.

In the area of the flex circuit boards on the market lights innumerable solutions are found which makes it not easy to choose the right product. BRUMBERG has long been a competent partner for innovative lighting solutions and is known within the "LED technology" as one of the market leaders.

RGBW – discover the difference

In addition to the RGB colour space, the self-contained RGBW LED-lighting system has an adjustable white light range of 2000 to 10000 Kelvin.

Thanks to this system expansion, precise control of the Planck curve within the RGB colour triangle is possible. Light colour and light intensity can be controlled with various control elements such as remote control, PC or SmartPhone without additional software. Thus, for example, browser-based control using LAN / WLAN is possible.

The usage of RGBW-LEDs offers the possibility of positively influencing human biorhythms by changing light colour and intensity, which can increase the feeling of well-being. The power of concentration and thus the performance capability are increased, making it possible to work more efficiently.In answer to questions asked by the South Westphalia Polytechnic, test persons confirmed the assumption that persons in a room with RGBW lighting do not feel as listless and tired as they would in a room with conventional lighting. This newly designed lighting technology offers a pleasant and natural light which is distributed evenly throughout the room.

In addition, sufficient brightness is guaranteed without any glare. Thus this new development is not only ideally suited for decorative lighting with colour dynamics, but also for technical room lighting in the desired colour temperature range of 2000 to 10000 Kelvin.

Beau McClellan international

In the August/September edition of the mondo arc, the architecture and design magazine reports about the awesome international carreer of the all-rounder Beau McClellan.

The quality products of the designer are available under his own name by BRUMBERG Leuchten and were repeatedly awarded with the Red Dot Award already. After his success in the Middle East he aims for projects in London now and will participate on the London Design Festival for the first time.

Beau McClellan started his carreer as a singer songwriter, went on as an art director for promotional films and designer for fashion industry. As an artist Beau McClellan already achieved an unscheduled Guinness Record for the „world’s biggest chandelier“, for one client in Qatar and now concentrates on illuminated semi-transparent mirror glass objects mainly.

We developped two new spots enabling you to vary the position of the bulb. You can individually adapt it to your requirements. This means the control of the angle of light exit as well as the glare limitation. The light source can be adjusted plane to the ceiling or in three steps up to a height of 20 mm at any time.

The luminaires are offered by BRUMBERG Leuchten in two different types (round and square shaped) and in two surfaces (black and white). It was decided not to consider the classic surfaces like chrome and gold: Exactly pure style!

Price adjustment effective 01st. September 2011

With certain advance we would like to inform you that we also need to adjust our gross prices slightly this year.

We already had price increases from suppliers during the year, besides we need to consider the increases of the raw material market and the electronic market with our new price structure.

As much more we are pleased that we can still keep some items in standard recessed spotlights program as well as in the LED sector with stable prices.

As an important change in this context, please note the following changes at our retail programs LUCENTE byBRUMBERG as well as Poomlighting:

Due to Brumberg would not be competitive in the field of decorative lighting with the upcoming increases, we decided to hold the retail prices unchanged, but switched these retail programs to price group 2.

The new gross price lists with the new prices effective from 01.09.2011 are already available for download on the right side of the page.

We will of course accompany this price correction by print technology with a new edition of our catalog. The new edition, will be available shortly

New RGBW light solution

The lighting specialist BRUMBERG-Leuchten introduced at the Light & Building fair 2010 already a study of a RGBW light solution along with the ‘Fachhochschule Südwestfalen’ (UAS). With this intelligent colour control system for LED you are not only in the position to blend the colours red, green and blue, but also to blend the colour white in addition. Therefore, you have the option to reproduce the full RGB chart of colour range and the Planckian locus (white light tones from 2,000 up to 10,000 Kelvin).

The new RGBW luminaire range offers various MR16 and QR111 solutions. A wide selection of diverse inserts for luminaires and customized luminaires you may find in our portfolio.

There are almost no limits with regard to the triggering of the RGBW light sources. It is possible to realize all options in triggering by only 2 master control units. One control unit is to be used for the established control signals (DMX/DALI/1-10V) and one control unit is for manual triggering (IR- / remote control, wall panel or push-button).

A LAN or WLAN controller can be put before control signal on request. Hence, the colours and the colour sequence of the luminaires can be controlled by every standard PC or by every browser-enabled mobile phone without any further software installation.

BRUMBERG-Leuchten has developed a really elaborated RGBW system which can be used for any general lighting purposes in addition to the colour control as show or ambient light, no matter in which colour temperature you are comfortable.

Light concepts RWE

The big, illuminated wooden gates created an impressing atmosphere and set the ‚Oststraße’ (east street) into a special light in the small town ‚Schmallenberg’. The electric power company ‚RWE Rheinland Westfalen Netz’ had the idea to illuminate the gates and commonly worked out an amazing light concept with Brumberg Leuchten. The light was directed from the 4 metres high and 5 metres width gates onto the street and the surrounding area and caused an outstanding light scenario.

A smooth transition between the emblem colours of the ‚Südwestfalentag’ – blue, yellow, green, red and grey – and the wine-coloured logo of the ‚Rothaarsteig’ was created. Environmental awareness was also taken into consideration and resulting from this, programmable, high-efficient LED spots were applied.

The remarkable was the distance of 300 metres which should have been illuminated by a synchron colour sequence (controlled by a remote control). However, based on special RGB signal amplifiers, it was possible to realize the client’s demands without any problem.

Therefore, the creatively and individually designed gates of the participating towns and municipalities were emphasized in an amazing manner.

On the occasion of the Light & Building fair 2010 this year, the better part of the branches light, electrical engineering and building automation was represented. Nearly 2.000 exhibitors showed their latest innovations and trends

Brumberg Leuchten exhibited its latest developments and light concepts within the technical lighting field at a stand area of about 300 m². A LED-downlight range with integrated ambience light was introduced at the fair in cooperation with the HELLA company located in Lippstadt/Germany. The HELLA enterprise is a leading producer in the lighting and engineering field with ambitious control systems for the automobile industry.

Brumberg Leuchten additionally presented a new RGBW system control, This is a completely autarkic system controlled by LAN or WLAN. An additional control or software is not needed. The common intelligence is placed in the luminaire. It is possible for example, to control the light colours by means of a touch screen or quite conveniently by any web compatible mobile phone, also iPhone.

The totally renewed outdoor area with ranges of stone, teakwood and aluminium found very positive approval, too.

Experience the light

The biggest gastronomy trade fair in Schleswig-Holstein/Germany was a full success for Brumberg-Leuchten. It was bigger, more innovative and successsful than ever. Approximately 10.000 square metres stand area were available for about 240 exhibitors and their stands that time.

As single lighting supplier, Brumberg Leuchten could convince by its special and emotional appearance and attracted many prospective clients. In addition, the relaxed atmosphere considerably contributed to success. Especially in the gastronomy- and hotel field it is of particular importance to Brumberg-Leuchten, to appeal all visitor’s senses and to inspire emotions.

Light is a significant factor to redound to the guest’s well-being. If it is at the reception desk or in the foyer, in the restaurant or in the hotel room – each area needs an individual light concept.

New impulses

At this year’s trade fair INTERGASTRA in Stuttgart, Brumberg Leuchten presented its new stand concept for hotel, gastronomy and lifestyle first time in Germany. Light in application was clearly in the focus. Detached from a pure product presentation, light inspired emotions and created a unique atmosphere. Thereby, the general lighting was considered, of course.

Like in Basel, the Brumberg staff got excited about the very good response and due to the successful stand concept they were in the position to acquire many potential buyers.
